Transnational Corporation Company that conducts research, operates factories, sells products in many countries, not just where its headquarters or shareholders are located. Globalization Actions or processes that involve the entire world and result in making something worldwide in scope. Vernacular or Perceptual Region Area that people believe exists as part of their cultural identity. Functional or Nodal Region Organized around a node or focal point. Formal or Uniform Region Area within which everyone shares in common one or more distinctive characteristic. Situation Location of a place relative to another place. Site Physical characteristics of a place. Toponym Name given to a portion of Earth's surface.
